The prospect of TikTok being a security risk sounds a little crazy.
But over the last couple of months, countries like the US have been considering banning the app. In some US states, TikTok has been banned from schools and government buildings.
But why is a social media platform with an emphasis on video considered harmful and a security risk?
Because TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, has been rumored to have of its connection to the Chinese government.
With many eyes on what the US is going to do with TikTok, should other countries especially African countries look more seriously at the popular video app as a “security” risk? Read our report below:
