Flutterwave this week came out with two features for its users. The African payment platform announced its “Tuition” feature which allows African users to conveniently pay various fees to educational institutions within Africa and overseas using their local currencies.
The company also announced its partnership with the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) payment orchestration platform to facilitate travel to sub-Saharan Africa. This means that airlines can receive local payments from local markets through all their distribution channels in partnership with Flutterwave’s payment platform.
Flutterwave has had bad press in the last couple of months including claims that there was a hack and issues with the Kenya authority.
