Ghana’s Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation has directed all e-commerce operators and their courier/drivers to register with the Postal and Courier Services Regulatory Commission (PCSRC) by December 19, 2023.
The Ministry stated that after the deadline, no new goods delivery and courier service provider can register with any digital platform or delivery service without a valid PSCRC e-certificate.
Existing operators have till January 24, 2024, to comply with the directive.

Kenyan B2B e-commerce startup MarketForce has shut down operations in three of its five markets in Africa. The startup is exiting Nigeria, Rwanda, and Tanzania and will now remain operational only in Kenya and Uganda with Kenya remaining its headquarters.
Kenya Government Begins Trials for New Digital “Maisha” ID Card
The Kenyan government has started a pilot scheme for the new digital identification cards.
First-time ID applicants will now be issued with the new cards, known as Maisha Card beginning November 1st, 2023.
Togo and Ghana Sign Free Roaming Agreement Which Takes Effect On March 2024
Togo and Ghana have signed a free-roaming agreement in Accra, Ghana which will allow users from both countries to communicate at a lower cost without having to switch SIM cards.
