How Akosua Hanson Went From Radio and TV To Creating Her Own Comic Book Series
We spoke to the creator of the theatre group "Drama Queens" about her journey into comic books
Nana Akosua Hanson is the director of Drama Queens, a youth-led non–profit feminist activist organization that uses art, social media, and public conversation for feminist, LGBTQIA+, and environmental activism.
She is also a writer and actor and has starred in various films in the Ghanaian industry. In 2019, she decided to veer into a new space that she hadn't gone before: Comic books.
In that year of 2019, Akosua Hanson launched "Moon Girls", a comic series that follows the adventures of four African women superheroes with varying superpowers who try to save Africa from a diverse range of forces.
