This week, MTN launched its 5G network across 7 states in Nigeria. On 24th August, MTN rolled out 5G services after nearly 3 years of preparation from the Nigerian Federal Government.
Nigeria officially joins South Africa and Kenya as the other countries with 5G services.
MTN Ghana had planned to pilot its 5G services this year but suspended it for the next year.
MTN Nigeria plans to roll out its 5G services to more sites in Nigeria later this year.

Google’s finance product “Google Wallet” is now available in South Africa. This makes South Africa the first African market to have access to the feature.
