This week, the majority in Ghana’s Parliament officially passed the controversial “E-Levy” bill. The bill will officially place a 1.5% tax on digital transactions including bank transfers and mobile money. The bill has officially been signed into law but there are some speculation that it will be challenged at Ghana’s Supreme court which may render the bill null and void.
